Me Wearing the Ham Sweater

This is possibly the worst combination ever of a lovely pattern and gorgeous yarn. I look like a giant Easter ham. However, it fits better than any other sweater I've ever made, and the yarn is a wonderfully warm and soft wool, silk, viscose blend, so I'm just going to wear it anyway. And then make myself a brown tweed version too.

I think you look lovely! (Not at all like an Easter ham!)

I got to say that my first thought was: this colour doesn't suit her at all. I don't take that back ;) but I love the sweater and also love it on you. I guess in a different colour it would be perfect. :)

That's exactly what I was thinking. :)

That's a gorgeous sweater, and you're right, it's a great fit. It's almost funny how perfectly it matches your skin tone. You could always put something around your neck to break up the effect?

Or just wear a mask or a pig nose... ;)

Thanks for the compliment. I love the sweater, just wish I'd gotten a different color yarn. Live and learn. :)

It was 6:30 AM and I hadn't had enough coffee yet. I'm smiling now. :)

I would definitely like to see this in brown tweed. Beautifully made, just the wrong color.

Yeah, I knew it when I started it. :)

Tweed will be done before the end of the winter!

I love the neckline and the raglan sleeves! With your coloring, I bet it would look wonderful in a jade green or a burnt orange, too. What pattern is this?

Thanks. It's Margot from Knitty. The easiest sweater in the world. I think I'll end up making several of them. Perfect for watching sports...but really boring for someone who likes a knitting challenge!

I love mindless TV knitting, especially when it turns into something so pretty! The pattern is now in my Ravelry queue for future reference. Maybe in that stashed royal blue tweed...

Blue tweed would be marvelous.
