Netflix and catching up on TV

me
I almost never watch TV anymore. I'd rather read a book. But, since we got Netflix, I found a couple of shows that I missed when they first came out. In one case, I think the show's still on the air, but the other one was canceled pretty quickly. Both are worth getting on DVD though.

The first is Scrubs. It's hysterically funny. And it reminds me very much of House of God by Samuel Shem and of M*A*S*H. I can't wait until the second season is available.

The second show is called Wonderfalls, and I've honestly never seen anything like it before. I don't even know how to describe it really. It's totally bizarre, but after the first episode, I'm hooked. I think only four episodes ever made it on the air, but there are 13 available on DVD. Can't wait to watch another one tomorrow.

Since you have Netflix, see if they have the series "Dead Like Me". It's wonderful.

Just added season 1 to my queue. Didn't realize it had Mandy Patinkin in it. I saw him in Austin once; he had a piano player with him, and he sang show tunes for 2 and 1/2 hours. I think he would've sung even longer, but he had a plane to catch. It was great fun.

The show looks good too. And when I went back in to Netflix after rating Wonderfalls, Dead Like Me was my top recommendation. :-)

I think you'd like it. It's weird. Really weird. But good. It's about a woman who has a philosophy degree who's working in a gift shop in Niagara Falls, and the the tchtotchkes start speaking to her.
